Sure, here’s a reworked version:

So, I guess there’s this new update for Ark: Survival Ascended. It dropped in July 2025—right smack in the middle of the month. If you’re keeping track, this one’s version 68.34. They’re aiming to squash some bugs on Ark: Ragnarok Ascended—that free DLC that kind of everyone loves to gripe about.
Ark: Survival Ascended went live in early access back on October 26, 2023. Almost two years now! Time, huh? Reception’s been all over the map. Some folks rave about the updates; others, not so much. Especially with those DLCs. “Pay to win” got people talking. Developer Studio Wildcard tossed out Ark: Ragnarok Ascended on June 20. It’s this massive Norse-themed area—144 square kilometers of “Whoa, check that out!” But yes, more land means more glitches. Hence the stream of “Mixed” reviews on Steam.
The 68.34 update landed on a Friday—I think it was July 18. Mainly fixes, nothing flashy. Resolving performance hiccups in sandstorms, adding more Basilosaurus spawns (because why not?), and fixing that pesky labyrinth puzzle where codes were being a pain. Really focusing on Ragnarok Ascended this time.
Oh, and they’re tinkering with the mod maps, too. Save icons should show up like they’re supposed to, and deleting saves will actually work now. Those backup saves? Also sorted out. Players need those saved games to actually save, right?
Some random fixes slipped in there too. Thylacoleo was doing some odd swimming maneuvers—fixed that. And, thankfully, items won’t just vanish into the ground when you toss them. Magic trick or bug? You decide.
Anyway, Steam reviews are still grumpy. More fixes are definitely on the horizon. But hey, more content rolls out in August so we’ll see what that brings. Hang tight, fellow survivors.
