Fireproof Games, known for creating the highly acclaimed “The Room: A Dark Matter,” has just launched their newest VR adventure titled “Ghost Town.” This game is now available for Quest 2 and Quest 3, with plans to release on PC VR and PSVR 2 later this year.
With “Ghost Town,” the studio steps away from their well-loved “The Room” series but retains their signature focus on intricate puzzles and captivating storytelling. While the game is steeped in supernatural themes, Fireproof is careful not to label it purely as a horror experience, opting instead to highlight its elements of suspense and mystery.
Development of “Ghost Town” has been a nearly four-year journey for Fireproof Games. They describe it as a major leap forward, featuring an impressive cast of fully motion-captured characters. The game is already garnering praise for its stunning visuals, even on the Quest headsets, transporting players to the atmospheric setting of 1980s London.
Although the launch dates for the PC VR and PSVR 2 versions haven’t been announced yet, you can dive into “Ghost Town” on Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest 3S right now, priced at $30.
