Alright, so get this—Nintendo’s got this thing now, some kinda music app, right? On your phone. And it’s like, winding back nearly 40 years of tunes. Nintendo-style. Honestly, who even knew they had so many beats tucked away?
But here’s the catch: it’s like this secret club thing for folks already on that Nintendo Switch Online vibe. You can stream the soundtracks if you’re feeling it or, I dunno, download ‘em for those times you’re off-grid or whatever.
Picture this. You’ve got the Mario tracks that practically scream nostalgia. Then the big-time epic stuff from Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And those funky beats in Splatoon 3 that just… stick with you, ya know? Oh, and their search thing? You can dig through by game name or even by screenshot. Seriously. Like, who thought of that?
Oh, and bear with me—there’s this list. Messy? Yeah. Incomplete? Maybe. Here it goes, in no particular order cause, well, why not?
Nintendo Switch: All about Animal Crossing (we all went there, let’s be real), Fire Emblem Engage, Kirby’s adventures (times two), classic Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (the rainbow road still haunts me), Metroid Prime, the fourth Pikmin, and Pokémon—those Legends of Arceus, throw in Scarlet, Violet, Sword, and Shield too. Another splat with Splatoon 2 and 3, more Mario, with Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Odyssey. Zelda’s there too. Of course, it’s Breath of the Wild and Skyward Sword.
Wii U: Back for more Mario Kart 8, and Zelda’s Breath of the Wild sneakin’ in somehow.
Nintendo 3DS: If Luigi’s Mansion didn’t spook you, you’re lying. Mario Kart 7 had its own life, and shoutout to StreetPass Mii Plaza. Social much?
Wii: Super Mario Galaxy? Outta this world. Skyward Sword—more Zelda—Wii Channels, and let’s not forget Wii Sports (get that tennis elbow warm-up ready).
Nintendo DS: Remember Dr Kawashima? Your brain got a workout. Then you had nintendogs, and that odd life simulator… Tomodachi Collection.
Game Boy Advance: Fire Emblem blazed through, and shining bright, Golden Sun.
Nintendo 64: Speed demons? F-Zero X had ya. Star Fox 64 (or Lylat Wars if that rings a bell), classic Mario 64, and Zelda’s Ocarina of Time. Oh, riding the waves on Wave Race 64. Bumpy, yet fun.
Super NES: Donkey Kong got a trilogy! Yeah, three of those! And vroom-vroom again with Super Mario Kart, Mario World adventures, Yoshi’s Island shenanigans, and saving the best for last—Zelda’s Link to the Past.
Game Boy: Dr. Mario plays on, Kirby bounces through Dream Land, and the OG Tetris. Blocks still haunt me sometimes.
NES: This is like, the core, right? Double dose of Dr. Mario. Kid Icarus did his thing, alongside the epic goons like Metroid, and like, three iterations of Super Mario Bros. Thank the heavens, there was Tetris to calm the nerves. Zelda rounds it out for the perfect retro wave.
Now, anybody who’s signed up for Nintendo Switch Online or that Expansion Pack thing, they’re in for a treat without coughing up extra cash. And hey, who knows what tracks will drop in the future, but it’s cool, right? Just grab your headphones and drift back to simpler times. Or, y’know, dance around the living room like nobody’s watching.
