Sure thing, let’s dive in…

Okay, so Gameloft just spilled the beans on what’s coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley. And guess what? It’s dropping on June 9. Huge update, to say the least. They’re finally rolling out the second part of this super hyped “The Storybook Vale” expansion. If you’ve been biting your nails waiting, your patience pays off soon.
Started in 2022 in early access—yup, like testing the waters—and hit version 1.0 by December 2023. People love it. I mean, Disney fans just can’t get enough. It’s like their cozy gaming haven or something. Seriously, it’s had 17 major updates. Minor ones too, but who’s counting all those? Always fixing bugs, always more stuff to do. It’s a treadmill, but a fun one.
Oh, hold up—here’s something you didn’t ask for, but I’m telling you anyway: a snapshot from the game that screams “Disney farming.” Now, I don’t know about you, but farming in a Disney game? Their take on agriculture is wild.
Anyway, back to where we were. June 9 is the big day. Gameloft’s new patch is gonna introduce us to “The Unwritten Realm.” Sounds mysterious, right? It’s like this void place where all forgotten stories go. Kind of deep for a game meant to be cozy, but whatever, I dig it. Maleficent and Aurora are your new neighbors there. Make friends, dress up, unlock stuff – you know the deal.
And, uh, bugs? Yeah, those annoying things games have. They’re fixing loads of them, like about a dozen or so. Minor detail, but if you play the game, you know it’s important.
This update follows the tail of that “Mysteries of Skull Rock” thing they launched on June 18, 2025. Don’t ask me why its timeline feels like a time warp—it just is what it is. Peter Pan joined the cast with The Forgotten, and there’s this cute dog companion, Max. I mean, who doesn’t like having a dog dig up resources for you? Ariel’s hanging out too, mostly with Eric.
Side note, and for no real reason other than it’s stuck in my head: did you hear they made the game work with Nintendo Switch 2? Not the first version but the second. Gameloft threw a hint we might see a special version there later. Fingers crossed it keeps the game fresh and bug-free.
Oh, hey, look at that: Patch notes! Sounds fancy, right? Let’s see—the second act plunges into the swirling pages—like inception, but with paper. Save your buddies from being erased. Now that’s quite the task. Add a shiny net and catch flying Snippets. Nope, not candy, just pieces of stories apparently. Maleficent and Hades—yes, the bad guys are scheming again.
For everyone else wondering, they’ve thrown in some premium shop bundles. Must-have if you like splurging on virtual stuff.
And hey, bugs they’re fixing: chairs that won’t move, furniture refusing to go where it should, characters floating near Peter Pan’s place (I mean, not gonna lie, that’s kinda funny), and random menu glitches. Just the usual hiccups, nothing too crazy, but glad they’re on it.
Ah, feels like I went off a bit, but… there it is, the sprawling, messy update. Wonder what makes game updates this intriguing. Or confusing. Or both. Who knows.
