So, here I am, rambling about this new head strap thingy. Yeah, it’s the KIWI Design K4 Duo. They just threw it out there for the Quest 3, and it’s supposed to be this all-in-one super gadget with both audio and a battery. I mean, whatever happened to simplicity? But hey, that’s not the point.
So, this contraption, it works with the Meta Quest 3 and 3S—who names these things anyway? It’s got these speakers that you can twist around. Pretty neat, right? They call it the ‘K4 Duo AIO Audio Head Strap with Battery’. Sounds super fancy. You just plug it into the USB-C port and, boom, you switch between sounds. How techy.
It trucks along with a couple of 2650mAh batteries and weighs in at 459 grams. Not sure why we care about grams so much. But, yeah, it’s got this wheel to tighten it—like a high-tech baseball cap for your face. Plus, dual charging—you charge the thing and your headset at the same time. Fancy memory foam padding too. I remember those memory foam pillows—best nap ever.
Now, will it rise to greatness and be crowned the ultimate gadget for Quest 3 and 3S? We’re not there yet. Seems like it’s still in beta mode, at least in my brain. We’ve tinkered with KIWI’s other stuff. Last year, their K4 Boost was, like, the golden child of battery straps. Maybe this’ll join the ranks. Or not. Who can say?
Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, you can grab the KIWI K4 Duo from their site or Amazon. Prices are $159.99, but they’re feeling generous with a launch discount—$139.99. Not too shabby, huh?
