Details on Holiday 2024 Expeditions in No Man’s Sky Revealed

Hello Games has announced an exciting redux Expedition schedule for No Man’s Sky during the 2024 holiday season, giving fans an opportunity to dive back into some of their favorite past events. Known for its vast and immersive universe, No Man’s Sky’s Expeditions are time-limited mini-campaigns that challenge players with unique tasks and rewards.

This year saw the release of five fresh No Man’s Sky Expeditions, culminating with The Cursed, which wrapped up on November 6. Now, these adventures are making a comeback in tweaked forms, which means players can complete any lingering objectives they might have missed the first time around.

In a recent blog update, Sean Murray, Hello Games’ managing director and co-founder, laid out the timeline for these redux events. The schedule kicks off with Omega from November 27 through December 11, followed by Adrift, which runs from December 11 to December 25. Next up is Liquidators, available between December 25 and January 8, 2025, which is the same day Aquarius starts. Players can enjoy Aquarius until January 22, right before The Cursed returns to conclude from January 22 to February 5.

Sean Murray shared that revisiting these Expeditions serves a dual purpose: it allows players another shot at finishing them and unlocking some unique treasures with greater ease. Among the rewards to be snatched this time are some intriguing starships inspired by iconic designs like the Iron Vulture, echoing the Pelican dropship from Halo and the Razor Crest from The Mandalorian.

As the calendar page turns, it’s clear that Hello Games isn’t slowing down. Despite focusing on developing their upcoming fantasy project Light No Fire, Murray assured fans in his blog that there’s plenty more in store for No Man’s Sky. Once met with skepticism upon its 2016 debut, the game now enjoys a ‘Very Positive’ standing on Steam, thanks in no small part to ongoing updates and evolving content. In fact, its dedication to community engagement has even earned it a nomination for the Best Community Support category at The Game Awards 2024.

Meanwhile, Light No Fire is making significant strides according to Murray. This ambitious new title promises to reach beyond No Man’s Sky, anchoring itself to a single, richly developed world.
