Alright, so here’s the deal: Marvel’s got some newbies muscling their way into the scene. You’ve got this crew with heavy hitters like Cap, She-Hulk, Spidey, and Wolverine strutting around. And now, bam, two more powerhouses enter the fray—unexpected, right?
First off, meet Beta Ray Bill. Yeah, he’s not your average superhero—horse-faced cybernetic dude who’s, believe it or not, an alt version of Thor. Comes from… somewhere out there… called Korbinite? Anyway, he’s swinging this killer hammer, Stormbreaker. Oh, and once upon a time, he even got to wield Mjolnir. Crazy, huh? Walt Simonson was the brain behind this guy back in The Mighty Thor No. 337. Fun fact that might stick with you for no good reason.
And then, as if things couldn’t get more out-there, say hello to Silver Surfer. Surfer’s got the Power Cosmic. (Whatever that really means—I just imagine it’s super epic.) He rides around on a surfboard-ish thing, taking on, wait for it, space bugs. I mean, Annihilus’ army of them. Are they terrifying? Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on your tolerance for cosmic pests, right?
Oh, and this all comes fresh from some big reveal at, where else, San Diego Comic-Con. It’s also where they spilled about the game’s voice cast. Real vocal talent, they say.
So, Marvel Cosmic Invasion is dropping on, like, every gaming platform you can think of—Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, you name it. Sometime this year. Bet you it’ll be a madhouse!
