Alright, here we go. Let me take a deep breath and dive into this wild ride through some Nintendo greats:
—
So, new Nintendo game time — me waiting, popcorn in hand, ready to dive into whatever magic they’ve cooked up. I mean, sometimes it feels like they can pretty much do no wrong, right? Or maybe I’m just a sucker for nostalgia. Who knows?
Jumping into Maria Kart Wii first. Remember when the Wii was like, “Hey, guess what? Now you can race with an imaginary steering wheel!” Wild times. Honestly, those motion controls… hit or miss for some games, but for this one, worked like a charm. It’s like the devs went, “Let’s make it feel like you’re actually steering, but better.” And bam, Coconut Mall. Random tangent — why does that track’s tune always get stuck in my head?
Moving on (or should I say spiraling?) to Pokemon Black & White 2. Now, I don’t want to brag, but catching ’em all got a little cooler in these ones. Last hurrah for the sprite art too, which gives me all the feels — animations were smoother than my morning coffee. And the World Tournament? I mean, battling gym leaders from the past? Genius, right? Okay, next!
Super Mario Galaxy 2. Ugh, already starting with hearts in my eyes. Mario in space was already a wild ride, but then they threw Yoshi into the mix. What!? Like, Nintendo just keeps leveling up their own game, quite literally. Also, the soundtrack. I can’t even. Just, chef’s kiss.
Ah yes, Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I remember seeing those trailers, and I swear it was like they combined dating sims with tactical combat. It’s like when you mix two food combos you don’t think should work, but then they do? Yeah. And those storylines — all deep and twisty. Very much a “stay up till 3 AM because one more battle” kind of game.
And then there was Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Is it a coincidence it dropped during the “stay home forever” era? I think not! Suddenly, everyone was a digital island master and Tom Nook was somehow the landlord of the year. Wild times. Wildly cozy, too. Building my island was like the world’s best therapy session.
Pikmin 4, making a comeback after so dang long. Pikmin fans? Ecstatic. Imagining little plant dudes running around, doing their thing, makes me realize I badly want them as actual, real life pets. Is that too much to ask?
Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Where to even begin? Every character — like, literally, they all came back. Mind blown. Someone said this thing is a legend, and they weren’t wrong. All the fighters, all the chaos, all the nostalgia! Oh, and it’s like squeaky smooth gameplay. Weird thought, but it reminded me of butter on warm toast. Smooth, you know?
Lastly, the incredible Breath of the Wild. Seeing Link peek over Hyrule? Goosebumps. The trailers had gasps worldwide, and when it dropped… exploring that open world just swallowed all my free time. In the best way. So many quirky characters, you almost felt like you lived there. Almost.
And so, the cycle of excitement and immeasurable joy continues with each release. Nintendo, just keep being you.

Phew! Hope this hits the mark!
