Tejo’s repertoire, centered on enemy displacement, is built on three core functions: gathering intel, dealing damage, and causing disorientation. Here’s the scoop:

The Stealth Drone allows you to launch and control a hidden drone, which, when activated, emits a sonar pulse revealing enemy positions.

Guided Salvo gives you the ability to select a target area on your map, dispatching rockets to bombard the location twice, displacing foes from their strongholds.

Special Delivery involves throwing a grenade that can bounce once, clamp onto opponents if struck directly, and ultimately detonate, stunning those caught in the blast.

And Armageddon unleashes a devastating chain of explosions, compelling adversaries to move away from chosen positions.

When asked, “Why rockets?” Cousart responded with a grin, “Because rockets are awesome.”

Beyond their sleek appeal, rockets were chosen for thematic purposes. “Integrating map-targeted abilities or world placements challenges players to engage with the game more thoughtfully and strategically,” Cousart explains. “We wanted a mechanic that could guide your squad, indicating potential impacts. Rockets were the perfect fit for communicating this.”

Tejo’s kit, focusing on enemy displacement, delivers in three ways: intelligence, force, and concussive impact. “Crafting an ability requires careful consideration of its impact,” says Cousart. “Damage is more lasting than a stun or flash; finding balance is key, and our current setup shows promise though it requires ongoing vigilance.”

### Special Delivery

“With most of Tejo’s abilities being ‘guns down’ oriented, we needed something straightforward yet explosive and direct. Special Delivery should be the ‘Let’s brawl’ button,” says Cousart.

Unlike his other skills that need setup time, Special Delivery lets Tejo quickly jump into combat. The ability offers immediate engagement advantages, affording players confidence in claiming space. And while its speed might make it easy, expect players to devise creative setups for optimal execution.

### Armageddon

“The value of Tejo’s rockets is tied to follow-up pressure,” notes Character Producer John Goscicki. The sweet spot? Launch rockets that force enemy movement, enabling you to exploit their transitions. Tejo shines alongside fast characters like Neon, who can swiftly pounce on disrupted foes.

Be vigilant of Tejo’s ultimate, Armageddon. It can significantly alter the course of a match, so monitor how close he is to accessing it each round. The ensuing explosive waves will compel enemies into predetermined paths, allowing teammates to secure the space easily.
