Ridge Racer 64 Joins Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Lineup

Nintendo has just made an exciting announcement: the much-loved Nintendo 64 game, Ridge Racer 64, has joined the lineup for Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.

Originally launched in 2000 on the Nintendo 64, Ridge Racer 64 has now sped its way onto the portable Switch console. This adrenaline-pumping racing game lets players zoom through three different environments with a total of nine thrilling courses. If you’re eager to jump right in, Quick Play allows you to race three laps on the Revolution Novice course. Feeling competitive? The Grand Prix mode offers various tracks to put your racing abilities to the test. Others modes like Car Attack provide a chance to win superior cars, and Time Attack challenges you to beat your personal records. On top of that, Multiplayer Mode offers three exciting ways to compete against friends: Battle Mode, Stage Mode, and Team Mode.

While racing, remember to master the art of drifting! Successfully using Acceleration Drifting and Brake Drifting can help you handle those tricky curves with ease, shaving off precious seconds from your time—seconds that could very well mean the difference between winning and losing!

Since its debut in late October 2021, the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online collection has expanded significantly. It originally featured classics such as Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Mario Kart 64. Over time, Nintendo has added many more beloved titles including Paper Mario, Banjo-Kazooie, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and Pokémon Snap, among others.

In another update, Nintendo revealed that its Switch Online service now boasts over 34 million subscribers. As for subscription plans, individuals can choose from £3.49 ($3.99) per month, £6.99 ($7.99) for three months, or £17.99 ($19.99) annually. For families, a 12-month membership costs £31.49 ($34.99), allowing the account holder to invite up to seven others to join their group, granting everyone access to the service.
