Apex Legends just threw us all a curveball with some bug fixes this August 2025. Yeah, we’ve got tweaks for the new season, kinda ironing out the gameplay wrinkles. Or trying to, at least.
Anyway… so, the past few months in Apex? Pretty wild. They tossed in a new Legend last season or something. I think that fired up the whole community. Now there’s Wildcard — a fresh mode they added along with some balance tweaks for the Legends and weapons. Honestly, not everything’s been smooth sailing. There’s been hiccups since Season 26 kicked off.
Okay, so Respawn dropped an update on August 13 to help, um, “squash” those bugs. Was it a massive patch? Not really. But hey, it did shake things up. Take Caustic. Originally, his Gas Fighter upgrade was supposed to get a boost at the start of the season. But oops, that tweak made him a bit too strong. This update kinda reeled that in.
Speaking of updates — not just Caustic got the love. Bangalore’s smoke was wrecking deployables through walls, like, really? And then the Bocek had some arrow count issues when Sparrow used it. Bizarre, right? Anyway, they fixed it. Supposedly. Another update is supposedly incoming to fix Bangalore’s electric smoke. Guess it’s not zapping things right. Weird.
Oh, and they fiddled with some other stuff too. Those challenges not progressing when playing Mixtape? That’s addressed. Loot bins appearing in bizarre places? Fixed. The amp system got changed too. Now, an icon pops up on enemy health bars when using an amp. Just a tiny detail. Probably helpful. Maybe.
So, is this update the magic fix we needed? Who even knows? The new season just started, so we’ll see how it all shakes out with the gameplay. People seem to be picking Bangalore and Caustic more lately. Ash too, for some reason. But if Respawn thinks these Legends need more work, more tweaks are likely on the horizon. They do love their patches.
In the patch notes, they listed a bunch of stuff, some of which I already mentioned. They’re on it, so they say. Another update’s supposedly on its way this afternoon. Gonna fix Bangalore’s electric smoke damage inconsistencies. Let’s hope they get it right. Or not. Either way, keeps things interesting.
