Oh boy, so Inno3D is at it again with their graphics cards. I mean, who doesn’t want to talk about single-slot water-cooled thingies? GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 getting a makeover with the iChill Frostbite Pro flair because, well, apparently two slots just weren’t enough anymore. It’s like when you think you’ve squeezed into your favorite jeans, only to realize you’ve got room to spare. Or maybe not. Anyway, they’re doing this fancy-pants single-slot design now.
You know those cool folks at Alphacool? Well, they’ve teamed up with Inno3D for this non-acrylic waterblock magic. And get this, the connectors? Moved to the back, not on the sides anymore. Why does this matter? No idea, but it sounds important. Also, carbon fiber texture on the front – slick, right? Makes it all compact and handy for stacking like four of these bad boys in a custom-loop setup. AI/Workstation enthusiasts are probably jumping for joy… or quietly nodding in approval over their coffee.
Oh, hang on, where was I? Yeah, these cards are supposed to have better clock speeds, which basically means they’re faster. Prices? They’ll be higher, but you know you’ve got to pay to play, or whatever the saying is. Also, they still have this custom PCB and, like, four display outputs. So, you can watch things from every corner if that’s your thing.
And speaking of Alphacool again, they’re showing off more coolers – Apex, Core, something ES. No, wait, ES might be a cooler itself. Or another code name for the UFO. Who knows? The same stuff that’s in the new iChill Frostbite Pro was part of the showcase. Color me impressed.
Last bit – Inno3D is still tinkering with the waterblock, kind of like an artist who can’t decide if the eyes are quite right on their painting. MSRP and availability? Total mystery. I’ll keep an eye out, though. Look out for more info sometime in the future, or whenever they decide to spill the beans.
End of my rambles.
