So, here’s the thing about this game called Dysmantle. It’s like, totally smashed through the roof with two million copies being sold. Yeah, you read that right. Two million! I mean, that’s like if every person in a really small country bought a copy, right? Or maybe it’s just people buying it twice because, well, why not?
Anyway, so the folks over at this company—10tons? Yeah, odd name—are saying they hit this number after, like, 40 months since they officially launched the game in 2021. But get this: before that, the game was floating around in what’s called “Early Access” for a year. Seems like that’s a thing now. So now, you can play it on pretty much anything. PC, PlayStation, that Xbox thing, even on your phone! (Not sure why you’d want to play on a tiny screen, but hey, I won’t judge.)
Oh, and they didn’t spill any beans on which platform’s raking in all the dough. Probably some top-secret info or maybe they just forgot to check.
To celebrate? They’re putting out physical copies for the PS5 and Switch. You know, for all those folks who like actually holding something instead of just downloading bits and bytes. June 27th is the magical date, apparently.
Sampo Töyssy—who I guess is a big deal over there—had some nice words for the fans. Kind of bittersweet though. They wanted to put this out in the US too, but some hiccup got in the way. Classic, right? Plans go poof! But they’re super grateful and hope everyone who wants one can snag a copy.
So, yeah, that’s the scoop. If you’re into surviving stuff in a game, maybe check it out? Just saying.
