The Last Hero: Journey to the Unknown is kinda like wandering into a fantasy world spun by Ratalaika Games and Titan Art Games. Imagine waving your sword around in this 2D landscape, fighting off whatever weird creatures get thrown your way. There’s this pesky wizard dude, Wizard Voidgem, stirring up trouble and stealing relics — typical villain stuff, right? So, you gotta be the hero to stop him. I swear, being a hero seems so exhausting but kinda thrilling too.
Oh, and those controls — let me see if I remember them right — you move with the left stick, jump with X, and swipe at bad guys with Square. Shield up with Circle if you’re feeling defensive or roll out with R1. Dashing around with R2 can be fun too, especially when dodging those trickier enemies. They also threw in some potions and special powers — choose wisely… or just wing it. With 30 levels, there’s no rush, or maybe there is? Who knows.
Collecting gold and gems feels like diving through pirate treasure, except less messy and a bit more game-y. Spend ‘em on upgrading powers — like summoning meteor showers or those spiky ground explosions… yeah, nice visuals. Use them gems for potions to keep your hero vibes going longer.
So, besides running around saving magical lands, there’s the whole trophy deal. Trophies remind me of old arcade vibes but on steroids. There’s a Platinum trophy up for grabs if you’re a completionist. Something about bragging rights does appeal… if not yearning for sparkly shiny digital awards.
Anyway, this game also does this neat trick with Cross-Buy, meaning you’re getting the PS4 and PS5 versions in one fell swoop. More game versions for your buck without the hassle.
This reflection, err, review, was strung together from a PlayStation 5 copy courtesy of Ratalaika Games, if you were wondering about the source. 게임을 즐겨라! (Or however they say it in fantasy realms).
