Bigscreen Beyond 2 Begins Initial Shipments, Targeting Full Fulfillment by September

Okay, so here we go. Bigscreen, yep, they’re sending out their new Beyond 2 headsets. Finally! Honestly, there was some waiting involved – delays, you know the drill. So the plan is to clear up all that backlog by September. At least that’s what they say in their blog.

Crazy thing though, these Beyond 2, and Beyond 2e (with eye-tracking, fancy!), are hot right now. Who knew VR headsets could cause such a ruckus, right? Prices are $1,019 for the basic and $1,219 for the eye-tracking jazz. It’s like, do you really need to track your eyes? Maybe. Personally, I just want them to work.

So remember the initial launch in March? Apparently, the first day sales blew the old version out of the water. A whole four months worth! What were people doing before this? Playing Pong? Anyway, they even decided to boost production in LA and got more folks on the team, like techs and support people. They even flew engineers overseas—hopefully, they had a decent in-flight movie.

And for those who ordered by May for the Custom-Fit Cushions, they might just get lucky in mid-August. The Halo Mounts though, ugh, you might have to wait till October. It’s like waiting for a bus that broke down.

If you’re one of those patient souls waiting on a Beyond 1, well, surprise! They’re bumping you up to a Beyond 2. Might give you a quick happy dance—you’re at the front of the line come July 25th.

Oh, and tariffs. Yeah, Bigscreen promised no price hikes, which is a relief ‘cause we’re all tired of paying more for everything these days. China tariffs be gone! So, long story short, they seem to have it figured out, but we’ll see, right?
