Chris Avellone Joins Republic Games for New RPG Project

Hey, so, get this—I stumbled across some news about this guy, Chris Avellone. You know him? He’s like this RPG legend. Anyway, he’s teamed up with Republic Games. Yeah, it was all over LinkedIn, thanks to this dude Adam Williams, who’s apparently running the show over there. Williams is hyped, saying Chris is a pro in weaving these epic RPG tales with all those wild plot twists and choices. Sounds like a real adventure, right?

Eurogamer caught wind of this, too. They got Williams talking about how they’re knee-deep in creating some kind of RPG that’s gonna blow our minds with its story depth and those, um, branching paths, I think he called them. If you’ve ever played one of those games where your decisions actually change the ending—you get the idea.

And here’s the kicker: Williams pretty much idolizes this Chris guy. On LinkedIn, he was all like, “Man, this guy helped shape the RPG golden age. Now, we’re aiming to bottle that magic and, like, double it”—or something along those lines. Sounds ambitious! Who doesn’t love a dark fantasy with intense storytelling, right? (Okay, maybe some don’t, but count me in.)
