Okay, here goes nothing. So, here’s this wild thing — FromSoftware, those guys behind Elden Ring, yeah? Well, they just kind of dropped a bomb on us. Remember all that hype about the Elden Ring Nightreign? People loved it. And then those folks said they’d bring us a duos mode (woo, teamwork!) and these beefed-up Nightlord bosses, whatever that meant. Spoiler alert: we still have no duo action. But we did get our first taste of those beefier bosses.
I mean, picture this: you shut down your computer, thinking the game’s just the same ol’ same ol’ — maybe some patch notes that hardly matter. Then BAM, they stealth-launch this massive boss fight update. Seriously, no heads up, nada. Just… appears. Late-night surprise, anyone?
So, these new baddies — Everdark Sovereigns, quite the dramatic name, right? Basically, they’re like Nightlords on steroids. But here’s the kicker: you can only throw down with them if you’ve already thumped the original version. Fun twist, right? This week, it’s Sovereign of Gaping Jaws, also known as Adel (sounds terrifying already). Next, we get Sentient Pest – honestly, who names these things? Followed by Darkdrift Knight.
Oh, and that’s just the start. The big brains at FromSoft are working on a sovereign version of, let’s see… Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog. Eventually, they’ll pop up too. Adel’s hanging around until June 25, just FYI.
Now, hold the press — there’s this new NPC in the mix, doing some magic with Sovereign Sigils. You slay these new toughies, and voilà, you get Sigils. Trade those with Mr. NPC for relics and all sorts of goodies. Extra Sigils on your first win, too. Sweet deal, right?
But wait — there’s more! This NPC can also tweak Nightreign’s Shifting Earth or Map Events for you. Usually, you had to beat three Nightlords to make that happen, but not anymore. Thank you, handy NPC dude.
I bet players are going to uncover even more cool stuff while battling these Nightlords. And honestly, if you’re still struggling and haven’t faced them all, do yourself a favor — check out some walkthroughs. You’re gonna need them.
For every other question and game tip, just check out some guides. They’ll steer you in the right direction faster than you can say Nightlord.
