Sure thing! Here’s my take:
So, get this. ININ, Tozai Games, Irem, and Strictly Limited Games are all psyched for the launch of the IREM Collection Volume 3 next week. Gonna be on all the consoles, both digital and physical. Pretty cool, right? Honestly, check it out if you’re into that stuff!
Right, onto the good stuff. We’re talking about three old-school, horizontal shoot ’em ups from back in the day. Mr. Heli, Mystic Riders, and Dragon Breed, all bundled up in one wild collection. It’s like a throwback combo of magic, machines, and straight-up mayhem.
Mr. Heli first. Weird little guy, but fun. He’s like this sweet, legged helicopter with so much firepower. It hit Japanese arcades in ’87, I think. Anyway, you kind of run through these levels with hidden paths and giant bosses. Oh, and you mine crystals or something to keep upgrading. Anyone else remember that? No? Just me?
Now, Mystic Riders. You’re on broomsticks fighting giant sky turtles and flaming demons—honestly, who comes up with this stuff? The broom acts like a boomerang, which is just, well, it’s a thing, I guess. Plus, you can play co-op! Be the wizard or the witch; they’ve got you covered for a nostalgic ride.
Lastly, Dragon Breed. This one’s wild. You’re riding this huge dragon named Bahamoot. It’s a mix of fantasy and sci-fi—it’s nuts. Think if R-Type had a fantasy makeover. That doesn’t make sense, but whatever, it’s cool.
So, in this Volume 3, we got things like rapid-fire settings and custom controls. Saves and rewinds are there too—honestly, such a lifesaver for me. There are display filters to bring back that vintage arcade feel. Plus, global leaderboards, because why not show off your skills, right? And don’t forget local co-op for some magical partner play.
Anyway, we’ll have a review up soon on PS4Blog.net, so stick around. Or don’t, but you probably wanna see it. Or maybe not.
