Razer’s Iskur V2 X Gaming Chair is More Affordable Than its Premium Counterpart

Razer has been on a roll this week at CES, unveiling a slew of new products that showcase their innovation. Among their latest announcements is the Razer Iskur V2 X, a gaming chair that’s easier on the wallet compared to the premium Razer Iskur V2, yet it keeps much of the iconic design that fans love.

The original Iskur chair made its debut back in 2020, setting a new standard for gaming chairs. Since then, Razer has expanded the lineup with the release of the Iskur V2 and other models, which have generally received high praise from gamers and critics alike. Now, with the introduction of the Iskur V2 X, Razer is aiming to bring high-quality seating to a broader audience. This more budget-friendly model cuts down on some features but still retains key aspects of its pricier counterpart.

The new Iskur V2 X keeps the same sleek look and can recline up to 152°, just like the Iskur V2. It supports up to 136 kg (299 lbs), matching the weight capacity of the original model. However, some notable differences highlight the cost-cutting measures: The V2 X comes with 2D armrests instead of 4D, a butterfly reclining mechanism rather than a frog mechanism, and a multi-layered fabric construction instead of synthetic leather. While the V2 X includes lumbar support, it’s a simpler design compared to the advanced system in the Iskur V2. Additionally, the V2 X is only available in black, and if you want a head cushion, that’s an extra purchase.

On the bright side, these compromises lead to a significantly lower price of just $299.99. It’s quite the bargain when you consider that the Razer Iskur V2 is more than twice the cost. Interested buyers can already place a preorder on Razer’s website. When I checked it out, the estimated shipping dates were set between January 17, 2025, and January 21, 2025.
